The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Mains Examination 2025 Result, bringing clarity, celebration, and for some — the next big challenge.

The IFoS Mains Examination 2025 was conducted from 16 November to 23 November 2025. Over the course of eight intense days, aspirants navigated descriptive papers designed to test not only knowledge, but analytical depth and clarity of expression.

The Big Number: 372 Candidates Advance

Out of all candidates who wrote the Mains examination, 372 candidates have been shortlisted for the Personality Test (Interview) stage of the Indian Forest Service Examination 2025.

This stage will assess not just academic competence, but personality traits essential for a future Forest Officer - leadership, decision-making, environmental sensitivity, and administrative maturity.

Important Instructions & Dates for Qualified Candidates (IFoS 2025)

  • Produce Original Certificates: Candidates must present original documents for Age, Educational Qualification, SC/ST/OBC, EWS, PwBD, and other applicable reservation categories. All certificates must have been issued on or before 21 February 2025 (closing date of application).
  • Upload Required Proof: Candidates must upload proof of passing the requisite qualifying examination and submit relevant OBC/EWS annexures (if applicable).
  • Mandatory OAF Update Window: As per IFS Examination Rules 2025, qualified candidates must update their Online Application Form (OAF) between 27 February 2026 and 13 March 2026 (till 6:00 PM).
  • Compulsory OAF Details: During the update window, candidates must revise educational qualification status, upload degree proof, update address, employment/service details, achievements, number of attempts, and previous exam details. Non-compliance within the timeline may lead to disqualification.
